Wilhelm von Humboldt´s Anthropology
Asli Aymaz received her M.A. in German Studies, History and Educational Studies from the Ruhr University in Bochum (Germany). As a PhD student she has a scholarship from the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Berlin and is assistant Lecturer at the Ruhr University. Since October 2007 she has been associate member of the College of Graduate Studies within the Humanism Project.

The focus of this investigation is on the theories of culture, aesthetics and history which are exposed in Humboldt´s essays and letters written until 1807/08. Also the concept of antiquity is an important point of this PhD work.
