Paulo Freire: his Work and its Relevance in a Globalized World. An Interactive-Constructivist Perspective

Kira Funke studied psychology, educational sciences and German as a foreign language at the Universities of Trier, Bonn and Köln.
Research travels and language studies in Italy, Brasil and Ecuador.
Thesis on the topic of /Cultural Identity and Language./ Professional experience as a teacher of German as a foreign language and in Youth and Adult Education for several years.
Her main research and work issues are intercultural communications, cultural studies and migration politics.
Since October 2005 she is Coordinator on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Youth of a german-wide project dealing with and promoting active civil participation of young migrants in Germany.
Since April 2006 she is associated member of the Graduate School of the Humanism Project.
